Since I've lived in Kansas City, it has continued to grow at an exponential rate attracting a lot of people and many of them are around my age. The massive amounts of twenty something's have helped KC become a community filled with new ideas, technologies and overall an exciting place for young adults to call home.
What is your favorite spot in Kansas City?
GZ: Sporting Park.
Where's your favorite place outside of Kansas City?
GZ: There isn't one particular place outside of KC I love to go. I just love traveling and exploring new places. I'm happy anywhere I can go hiking and be outdoors.
What's your most treasured possession?
GZ: My dog. I love coming home from road trips and seeing her reaction every time I walk through the door.
Who's your favorite fictional hero?
GZ: I was never really into super heroes growing up, but right before the World Cup, MLS had fans vote on which Super hero each player on the USMNT reminded them of. I was compared to the Flash by fans – so I'll have to go with the Flash.
Who do you most admire in real-life?
GZ: My parents and my siblings. My mom and dad have been the best role models and I've tried to mimic their teachings in my everyday life. I also have three siblings and we are all incredibly close. They are all incredibly important in my life.
When and where are you happiest?
GZ: I'm the happiest when I'm competing. Being on the field and doing what I love on a daily basis is hard to top. When I'm not on the field, I like exploring KC with my girlfriend Abra and dog Baci.
