KCADC Annual Meeting

KCADC’s Annual Meeting celebration is the most prominent and well-attended business event in the Kansas City metropolitan area – drawing 1,500 of KC’s top corporate and civic influencers.

The 2016 program, Best of Both Worlds | A Town Hall on Regional Growth, offered a brand new format and rare dual appearance by Richard Florida and Joel Kotkin, two of the preeminent national experts on how cities grow and develop. The speakers participated in a town hall discussion and presented their unique perspectives on urban and suburban development – and how cities today must excel at both to stay competitive for businesses and talented people.

Florida and Kotkin rarely appear on stage together, but often present their viewpoints through popular media including The Daily Beast: Kotkin v. Florida, and Newsweek.
