    Career Expo 2016

    This one-day event is designed in cooperation with local employers and schools to expose high school and college students to career pathways which are known to be locally plentiful and good-paying. 

    This unique and unprecedented career exploration event will target certain industries: Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Skilled Trades, and Supply Chain Management.

    Designed to be highly interactive and interesting to student attendees, students will network with local businesses, their employees, and post-secondary education reps. Business professionals who work within specific careers will engage with the high school juniors and seniors, as well as college students pursuing certifications, associate, bachelors and graduate degrees.

    • Professionals will answer questions about their work and explain successful career pathways to attendees.
    • College reps will be available to answer related questions and provide information about pertinent job training, programs, degrees, and other post-secondary education options.
    • Some business recruiters will be available to answer questions and share information about job openings, internships, and student job-shadow opportunities as available. 
    • Incorporated into the event will be demonstrations, interactive displays, mini learning sessions, etc. to help attendees to expose students to careers and industries which might interest them.
