The University of Missouri-Kansas City is a nationally ranked public research university that offers nationally accredited programs of study leading to more than 125 degrees.
Offerings include bachelor of arts (B.A.), bachelor of science (B.S.), bachelor of liberal arts (B.L.A.), and combined baccalaureate/ professional degrees such as the B.A./M.D. at the School of Medicine, as well as the D.D.S. degree program at the School of Dentistry. Ph.D.s are earned through the Interdisciplinary Ph.D. program and at the Conservatory of Music and the School of Education. The School of Pharmacy awards a Pharm.D. degree.
UMKC's 14,300-plus students benefit from a student to professor ratio of 14-to-1, and 64% of classes have fewer than 20 students. UMKC continually meets the criteria for U.S. News and World Report's listing of "America's Best Colleges" for the national universities category, which means UMKC ranks among the nation's top 175 universities.
