Crown Center, the vision of Hallmark Cards founder Joyce C. Hall and his son, Donald J. Hall, is located on the southern edge of downtown Kansas City. Since its 1968 groundbreaking, the 85-acre complex has reversed years of urban decay.
Crown Center's retail center is home to more than 60 shops and restaurants. The complex offers more than 2.2 million square feet of office space, two world-class hotels and a condominium community of more than 240 units.
Home to live Broadway-style theatre and a children's theatre ranked by Time magazine as one of the best in the country, Crown Center also features cinemas, the Hallmark Visitors Center and Hallmark-sponsored Kaleidoscope, a children's art experience. Elevated, enclosed walkways allow visitors to travel throughout the complex without fighting the weather.
Crown Center's entertainment lineup includes the city's only public, outdoor ice skating rink, summer concerts and festivals, and an array of fountains.
