Children's Mercy Hospital
Children's Mercy Hospitals and Clinics is the Kansas City region's only pediatric medical center, providing the highest quality care for children with serious, chronic and non-critical needs. Our medical staff of nearly 500 pediatric specialists provides comprehensive care in more than 40 pediatric specialties. Founded in 1897, Children's Mercy offers the region's only Level 1 pediatric trauma center, the highest levels of pediatric and neonatal intensive care units, one of the country's busiest critical care transport programs dedicated to children, and the area's only home health care service for children.
Our dozens of multi-disciplinary outpatient clinics have more than 270,000 visits each year. Children's Mercy has two hospitals (one with 260 inpatient beds; and the other with 54), an emergency room and three urgent care centers (with more than 110,000 visits each year) and primary care clinics in three locations around greater Kansas City. In addition, our specialists staff outreach clinics throughout Kansas and Missouri.
The Children's Mercy medical research program is among the country's fastest growing, with more than 100 professionals involved in research projects representing tens of millions of dollars in multi-year awards.
